PSCHY Centre for Psychosocial and Rehabilitation Services marked a significant milestone with the grand opening of its new facility at St. Paul’s Media Complex, Marikunnu, Kozhikode, on May 25, 2025.

The event was inaugurated by Mr. Muhammed Riyas, Honourable Minister for Public Works and Tourism, Government of Kerala. The inauguration ceremony witnessed the esteemed presence of prominent personalities, mental health professionals, and well-wishers who came together to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter in mental health and rehabilitation services.

With a vision to expand and enhance the quality of psychosocial care, therapy, and rehabilitation, this new space is designed to foster better service delivery, deeper connections, and broader community engagement. The centre aims to serve as a hub for specialists in therapy, rehabilitation, and mental wellness, offering personalized support and holistic care in a thoughtfully designed environment.

As part of the inaugural programs, a special talk was held in association with the Young Seniors Foundation, led by an expert from PSCHY. The session focused on addressing the psychosocial and emotional well-being of senior citizens, highlighting the importance of early intervention, community support, and active ageing. The interactive session was well-received by attendees, promoting awareness and dialogue around mental health in later life.

The function also featured a formal session with distinguished guests addressing the gathering, emphasizing the critical need for accessible and stigma-free mental health services. The event showcased PSCHY’s ongoing commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and impactful mental health care.

The new centre is now open to the public, welcoming individuals and families seeking professional support for emotional, psychological, and rehabilitative needs.
