Vertical Short Film Contest

Rules & Guidelines for the contest :

  • Each participant or team can submit only one entry.
  • Submissions can be from individuals or teams.

Film Requirements

Theme: “Unmasking the Mind”
Breaking the stigma around mental illness by revealing the hidden struggles behind everyday smiles.

  • Format: Vertical video only.
  • Aspect Ratio: 9:16.
  • Maximum Duration: 3 minutes (including credits).
  • Language: Malayalam or English.
  • File Format: MP4 or MOV.
  • Resolution: Minimum 720p (HD recommended).
  • Device: Must be shot using a smartphone

Content Restrictions

  • Must be original work – no use of copyrighted visuals.
  • Content must be respectful, appropriate, and sensitive to mental health topics.
  • No explicit content, hate speech, or misinformation allowed.

How to Submit

  • Upload your short film to Google Drive or YouTube (set as unlisted).
  • Share the link via the official submission form:

Submission Deadline: 23/05/25

What to Include

  • Film title and a short synopsis (max 100 words).
  • Names and contact details of all participants.
  • A statement of originality and consent to use the film for awareness campaigns.

Recognition

  • Selected films will be featured on the inauguration event and our Instagram page.
  • Best film will receive a prize money of 10,000/-
